It is not easy for you to know which bus is your bus and when your bus is coming anyway in Kanazawa.
We have some bicycle-rentals for our guests for free.
It is very convenient to go anywhere in the city of Kanazawa by bicycle.
Please ask for that when you make a reservation.

Our guests often ask us how to get to Kenrokuen Garden.
You can get there about 10 minutes walk if you take a short cut going through the Kanazawa Castle Park.
We recommend you get out from the Hirosaka Gate of Kenrokuen Garden, because it is the nearest gate to Museum and Samurai district.
Please feel free to ask us if you have any questions.

You can see fireflies or lighting bugs in Hakuchoro Park which is 5 minutes walk from our Sumiyoshiya Ryokan.
Unfortunately, it is a released fireflies when they were larva though, I hope one day natural fireflies fly all over the place.
You can enjoy such fireflies until the end of June in the park.

At our dinner time, we serve “Sashimi” dish with little “
gold leaf” on the top of it.
Our guest’s reactions are not the same such as "Is this real gold?", "It is very beautiful!" and "Is it safe to eat?", etc.
You can buy such gold leaves at almost all of Gold leaf shops in Kanazawa city.
We recommend you get one and bring it back to your home country as a souvenir from Kanazawa. It is very light and will stay long.
You can enjoy it in various occasions such as you float them on your drinks, also you can sprinkle them on the top of chocolate cakes, etc.
