Let me show you event.

Kanazawa city will hold Hyakumangoku Festival from June 5th to June 7th.
Various events such as Parade, Tea ceremonies and Odori-nagashi (parade of Japanese dance) will be held day-and-night in the city.
Besides those parades, we recommend that the mysterious Kaga Yuzen Toro Nagashi (the floating of lanterns lit with candles and decorated with Kaga Yuzen silk textiles).

Date: 4th June in 2010
Time: 19:00~21:00
Place: Tne Asanogawa Ohashi Bridge.(near Higashi Chaya District)

Tōrō nagashi (灯籠流し) is a Japanese ceremony in which participants float paper lanterns (chōchin) down a river. This is primarily done on the last evening festival based on the belief that this guides the spirits of the departed back to the other world.
